WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Select Board meets this Monday, April 8, 2024 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.
There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:
- The Select Board will have a moment of silence for Wilmington Public Works Foreman David Elliott, who recently passed away.
- The Select Board will hold a public hearing for an earth removal permit for ALRIG USA Development, which is building a new development at 208 Main Street, the old Rite Aid location. The development is slated to include a Chipotle and a Chase Bank, among other tenants.
- The Select Board will hold a public hearing for a request to obtain a common victualer license for Paddock Lounge, a food establishment inside K1 Speed at 40 Fordham Road.
- The Select Board will hold a public hearing for a request of Verizon and RMLD to locate a new pole on Woburn Street.
- The Select Board will declare April 26, 2024 at Arbor Day in Wilmington.
- The Select Board will receive a written update on Wilmington High School posthumously awarding a diploma to Elmer Drew, who was killed in action in World War II.
- The Select Board will receive an update on recent grant awards from the Wilmington DPW.
- The Select Board will consider the request of the Veterans’ Department to use the parking lot at the Silver Lake fishing pier for a flag retirement ceremony on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 5pm.
- The Select Board will consider the request of the WHS Hockey Boosters to hold a Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 10am to 1pm, outside the Public Buildings Department.
- The Select Board will consider signing a local initiative program application for local action units to the state regarding an upcoming project on Cross Street.
- The Select Board will consider authorizing the Temporary Town Manager to execute a preservation restriction with the Massachusetts Historical Commission for the Harnden Tavern (430 Salem Street).
- The Select Board will consider ratifying the Temporary Town Manager’s appointment of Timothy Woods to the RMLD Citizen Advisory Board.
