Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:
WILMINGTON, MA — David S. Elliott, fondly known as “Clyde” or “Mousey”, age 59, of Londonderry, NH, passed away suddenly on April 4, 2024.
David was born on September 1, 1964, in Lowell, MA; he was the son of Nancy L. (Cutter) Elliott and the late Richard D. “Dick” Elliott. David was raised in Wilmington and attended Wilmington Schools.
David married his “Honey,” Donna J. (Robson) Elliott, in 1995 after fourteen years of dating. They settled in Londonderry, where they raised their two sons, Dave, and Ray. David was so proud of his family; his wife and boys were most important to him. He spent a lot of time participating in hobbies with his boys including four-wheeling, and snowmobiling. David and Donna’s house was always open to their boys’ friends; they welcomed everyone and became second parents to many.
David went to work for the Town of Wilmington over thirty-six years ago. He started as a custodian working in many schools including the North Intermediate and the Boutwell. David had a fun-loving personality, and the kids were drawn to him. He loved to make the kids laugh and enjoyed playing his occasional pranks. Although David was a jokester, he was also a very hard worker. He was promoted to Foreman of Public Buildings several years ago. David was a dependable supervisor and really cared about his employees.
David loved being outdoors; he spent a lot of time in his yard with his animals, including a bull, a pig, chickens, ducks, and his Dobermans. He loved riding his Harley and looked forward to the good weather when he could ride—always taking along his bell.
David enjoyed playing hockey; he played in his younger years and then took pride in watching his sons play. David also refereed many games and had an offer to professionally referee several years ago.
David will be remembered as a “rock solid” type of guy; he was dependable and kind to everyone he met. David took pride in being able to help others, including family and friends. He didn’t judge anyone, he just offered advice and listened. He was a great confidant and someone who could be trusted.
David was “larger than life”; he lit up a room with his crazy, happy, loud personality. If you knew David, you could hear him before you saw him! David had some famous sayings which he proudly announced with a smile across his face… “What’s up Dude?” and “Peace Out Bro!”
David was the beloved husband of Donna J. (Robson) Elliott, devoted father of David R. Elliott and Raymond D. Elliott all of Londonderry, NH, cherished son of Nancy (Cutter) Elliott and the late Richard Elliott of Wilmington, dear brother of Scott Elliott & his wife Sheryl of South Carolina and Gayle Mulligan of Nashua, NH. David is also survived by his sister-in-law, Cathy Hope, his beloved neighbors, Brittany Jean, and her daughter Mikayla, whom he and Donna considered family, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Tuesday, April 9th from 3:00 -7:00 p.m.
Memorial donations in David’s name may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
