OBITUARY: Judith E. (Fellman) Doucette, 88

WILMINGTON, MA — Judith E. Doucette (Fellman), “Judy”, age 88, of Pelham, NH, formerly a long-time resident of Medford, MA, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024, at the Lowell General Hospital.

Judy was born in Arlington, MA, on July 16, 1935; she was the daughter of the late Evert Fellman and Olive (Baker) Mackenzie. Judy was raised and educated in Arlington and Medford where she made many life-long friends.

Judy married and moved to Everett for a few years before moving back to Medford where she raised four wonderful children. Judy was a very devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren whom she adored. Judy also fostered many children in need throughout the years; always showering them with unconditional love and making them feel safe and cared for.

Prior to retiring, Judy, worked for the Analog Devices Company in Wilmington for many years where she made countless friends with her fellow employees.

Judy had a passion to help others; she was actively involved Al Anon and attended many conventions; she also volunteered her time at the New England Memorial Hospital in Stoneham where she would reach out and help people in crisis.

Judy was a remarkable lady, so kind and caring towards everyone she met; she had a heart of gold and will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Judy was the beloved mother of Karen M. Vercellini of Conway, SC, Jeanne T. Gerakines & husband Stephen of Pelham, NH, the late William H. Doucette, Jr. and James J. Doucette. Loving grandmother of James Doucette Jr., Victoria Olson & husband Matthew, Jessica Gerakines, Daniel Gerakines, the late Michael Doucette, and great-grandchildren Jacob, Joshua, Jorden, Matthew Jr., and Lillian. Sister of the late Claire Ciol, aunt of Janet & Paul Kazmierczak, Joseph & Barbara Ciol, and their families.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Wednesday, April 3rd from 4:00-6:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, April 4th at 11:30 a.m. in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 70 Medford St., Arlington, MA.

Donations in Judy’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
