School Committee To Recognize 5 Amazing WHS Student Athletes At March 27 Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee is holding a meeting this Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 7pm in the High School’s Large Instruction Room.

The meeting will be streamed live on WCTV.org and on WCTV.

There are several noteworthy items on the meeting agenda, including:

  • The School Committee will recognize outstanding athletic achievement:
    • Kyla Kelley (Swimming/500 Freestyle) — D2 State Champion
    • Hannah Bryson (Wrestling/126 lbs.) — D3 State Champion
    • Alli Ganley (Gymnastics/Bar) — New England Champion
    • Addy Hunt (Girls Indoor Track) — Middlesex League MVP
    • Lily MacKenzie (Girls Ice Hockey) — Middlesex League MVP
  • The School Committee will approve the Band Camp Field Trip for August 2024.
  • The School Committee will approve a field trip to Galapagos Islands for April 2025.
  • The School Committee will approve the Wildwood MSBA Educational Program.
  • The School Committee will approve the Student Opportunity Act.
  • The School Committee will accept $3,891 in donations in the form of grants from the Wilmington Educational Foundation.
  • Superintendent Brand will provide an update on the West School Principal Search.
  • Superintendent Brand will provide an update on the MSBA Wildwood School Building Project.
  • The School Committee will receive an update on the Town Hall/School Administration Building Project.
  • The School Committee will hold an informational discussion on school choice.

The School Committee will also hear any public comments, correspondence, subcommittee reports, and reports from student representatives.
