WILMINGTON, MA — Erica M. Layton, age 37, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2024, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

Erica was born on December 5, 1986, in Boston, MA; she was the cherished only daughter to Stephen and Theresa “Terri” Layton of Wilmington. Erica was the beloved sister of Ryan Layton and his wife Theresa, Sean Layton and his fiancé Jena, and Scott Layton and his wife Nicolette. Loving “Auntie” of Aiden, Colin, and Sebastain Layton, dear granddaughter of Anna and Jerry Mahoney and the late Charles and Eileen Layton. Erica is also survived by her “fur baby” Chloe as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Tuesday, March 26th from 3:00-8:00 p.m. All are welcome to gather for a Funeral to celebrate Erica’s life on Wednesday, March 27th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, MA, followed by her interment at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA.
