Messina DiPietro

May 16, 1926 – March 18, 2024

To our mother, May.

The time has come to say goodbye.

Though you leave us today, we’ll try not to cry.

Mother dear, you are always near to our heart,

no matter, how far, we are apart.

With your mother and father, are you today,

in the Lord’s presence, are you this day.

Your sisters and brother, they are near.

We love you, oh so much mother dear.

With our dad Joe, and Charlie your son,

You need to know, that your work is done.

Side by side are you three.

Wait for us, we will come, eventually.

Know that we, JoAnne and Dan, will be fine.

We believe in God’s great plan, it is divine.

You left behind grandson’s, their wives,

with little ones, you touched many lives.

So, mother May, as been said,

with sorrow and grief, and eyes of red.

We say this now, we love you so.

We hate to let you go.

As you three, side by side.

We must wait and time abide.

Our journey’s not over, still time to wait.

We’ll meet again, at the gate.

And when we meet, the five of us will be,

Together again, for eternity.

Messina M. (Greco) DiPietro
