MANCHESTER, NH — Joseph A. Mottola, 76, of Manchester, New Hampshire died February 24,2024 at the Epsom Health Care in Epsom, NH surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 6,1947 in Wilmington, MA to the late Anthony J. Mottolo and Mabel H. (Fiske) Mottolo.

Joseph is survived by his siblings, Richard A. Mottolo and his wife Carolyn of North Reading, MA, Robert D. Mottolo of Londonderry, NH, Donald E. Mottolo and his wife Carol of Quincy, MA and Janice G. Mottolo of Chelmsford, MA. He will be dearly missed by his nephews Anthony Mottolo and Jason Bianchi and nieces Serah Byrne, Lara Mottolo, Emily Mottolo, Elizabeth Mottolo and Goddaughter Kristen Bianchi as well as several great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Alan R. Mottolo, sister Marilyn E. Whittier and a nephew David Mottolo.

Joseph was a graduate of Essex Agricultural School, class of 1966. Enlisting in the U.S. army during Vietnam and later in the U.S. navy, he proudly served his country while traveling the world. Throughout his life, he enjoyed many different interests, pursuing varied subjects as photography, computer sciences, cooking and biblical studies.

Family and friends were invited to calling hours on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street Andover, MA 01810. A service followed at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Tewksbury, MA. For online condolences please visit www.contefuneralhomes.com.
