WILMINGTON, MA — At a recent Wilmington Board of Select Board Meeting, Temporary Town Manager Lou Cimaglia announced four citizen-petitioned warrant articles were submitted for the 2024 Annual Town Meeting on May 4, 2024:
Petitioner Kevin Barrett is hoping to purchase two parcels of town-owned land on Molloy Road (Map 10, Parcels 129 & 130).
Petitioner Ben Wright is hoping to rezone 685 Main Street (where Galante’s Muffler & Brakes is located) from General Business to General Industrial.
Petitioner Kristen Costa is hoping to rezone a parcel of land on Edgeworth Street (Map 11, Parcel 6) from Residential 60 (R60) to Residential 20 (R20).
Petitioner Dan Ballou is hoping to change the name of the Woburn Street School to the Richardson Elementary School.

Petitioners had to submit their petition with at least 10 certified signatures of registered voters to the Town Clerk’s Office by February 2, 2024.
Petitioners have been invited to attend the joint meeting between the Wilmington Finance Committee and Wilmington Planning Board on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 7pm in the Town Hall Auditorium. Each petitioner will be given an opportunity to discuss their articles. Both committees will be reviewing the articles on the 2024 Town Meeting Warrant, including the four citizen-petitioned ones above, prior to offering their recommendations.
