READING, MA — Virginia May Wood of Tallahassee, Florida, formerly of Reading, passed away at her home on February 26, 2024. She was 83 years of age. Ginny was born in Medford, Massachusetts on February 7, 1941 the daughter of the late Phyllis (Hill) & Walter Cutler.
Ginny was a graduate of Reading High School class of 1959 and prior to retiring, she spent many years working in the Human Resources department at Analog Devices in both the Wakefield and Wilmington facilities. During retirement, she was able to enjoy having a hobby farm in Maine, followed by a lake house in New Hampshire and finally settled in Haines City, Florida. She enjoyed painting, bingo, playing cards and helping organize social events.
Ginny was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Richie. She is survived by her daughter Becky and son in law Bob Roller (Tallahassee), son Dick and daughter in law Heather Wood (N. Reading), grandchildren, Kevin Jones and wife Lily, Mallory and husband Craig Eddy, Jeremy, Joshua, Peter and Lilly Wood, great granddaughter Harper Eddy, siblings Bob Cutler, Marilyn Haverty, Russ and wife Chan Thu Cutler, brother-in-law Donald Wood and wife Florence and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services and burial are private and there are no visiting hours.
Donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to: Christina Rawlins, 1701 W Commerce Ave, Lot 256, Haines City FL 33844, to support the Heartland Estates dog park. This dog park was dear to her heart, being the animal lover she always was.
