Library News
The library will be closed on Monday, February 19th in observance of the holiday.
Donate your unused jewelry for our annual spring Jewelry Sale on April 5th and 6th! Donations can include anything like necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, pearls, men’s jewelry, kids jewelry, etc. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Library.
Adult Programs
Bookends Book Group
Monday, February 26, 10am
This book group discusses contemporary books, both fiction and non-fiction, led by Library Associate Rebecca Lowe. Copies of the book are available at the library. February’s featured book is American Sirens: The Incredible Story of the Black Men Who Became America’s First Paramedics by Kevin Hazzard.
Needleworkers at Night

These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in. This group now meets every Monday in the cozy seating area on the first floor of the library.
HYBRID DEI Book Group
Monday, February 26, 6:30pm
This book group meets on the 4th Monday of the month. We read the book three chapters at a time to allow us to delve deeper into what we’re reading. The current title being read is Broke in America by Joanne Samuel Goldblum. February 26th’s meeting will discuss chapters 3 through 5. This program can be attended in person or virtually via Zoom.

Movie Night: Summer of Soul

This music documentary explores and reclaims the legacy of the six-week 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival. It features unpublished footage of performances by Nina Simone, B.B. King, Sly and the Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, and Gladys Knight & the Pips at Mount Morris Park (now Marcus Garvey Park). Drop In.
Needleworkers
Friday, March 1, 10am
This is a social group for those who do any kind of needle craft. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy a little conversation and camaraderie. Drop in.
Pysanky Eggs
Saturday, March 2, 2pm
Please wear something you won’t mind getting dirty! All supplies are provided for you, just bring yourself and learn a new hobby. Kati Bourque learned the art of Pysanka almost 20 years ago. While she is not Ukrainian, she loves the creativity of decorating eggs. She loves teaching folks about the history of Pysanky and how to create their own eggs. Kati does not consider herself a “crafty” person, but loves the history and art that goes into making a beautiful egg. Her egg motto is: “If I can do it, anyone can!” This program is for teens ages 16+ and adults, as you will be handling raw eggs, dye, and a lit candle.

The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Practice using your home language with us! Our staff will be here with an interpreter speaking Haitian Creole. Kindergarten School Night: Boutwell

Book Store Next Door – Winter Hours
The Book Store Next Door will be open on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. They will be closed on Wednesdays in January and February. Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2. The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.
Museum Passes
The library has discounted passes to your favorite Massachusetts museums, attractions, and state parks. Find the full list on our website!
WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.
WML Virtual Programming
The library continues to offer a variety of virtual events. Please note that registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Go to wilmlibrary.org to register or call 978-658-2967.
