WILMINGTON, MA — Susanne (Roberts) Boyce, 79 of Wilmington and loving wife of 59 years to Robert Boyce, peacefully passed away January 30, 2024 at Sawtelle Family Hospice House.
Susanne was born in Somerville, MA on August 21, 1944. She was one of three daughters of the late William “Bill” and Ida “Gwen” Roberts. Susanne was a graduate of Somerville High class of 1962. Susanne was initially a stay at home mom caring for her family. She then had a career in purchasing working for Bristol Meyers Squib for over 30 years.
One of the things she loved to do was to travel with Robert. Their adventures included many trips to Prince Edward Island Canada, Newfoundland, Alaska, Sedona Arizona, Mexico, St. Lucia, St. Martin, Aruba and Puerto Rico just to name a few.
Susanne will fondly be remembered for her love of baking, Celtic music, gardening, lighthouses, nature especially hummingbirds and sewing. She was also involved with drum and bugle corps helping and following her daughters as they competed while traveling around the country and Canada.
She loved nothing more than her 4 grandchildren. She was very proud of them as she followed them through their activities, whether it was hockey, cheerleading competitions, soft-ball, volley-ball, ballroom dance competitions, and high school plays.
Susanne is survived by her husband Robert, three children Deborah Lisiecki and her husband Raymond of Tewksbury, Steven Boyce of Wilmington, and Bonnie Wright and her husband Mark of Townsend, her sister Natalie Matthews and her husband Robert of Virginia. She is also survived by her loving grand-children Emily and Jessica Lisiecki, and Jordyn and Jonathan Wright. Susanne was predeceased by her sister Marilyn Gray and her husband Earl. She is also survived by her extended family including brother and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Monday, February 5th for Visiting Hours from 5:00 p.m-7:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place at the Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations in Susanne’s memory may be made to the Mass Audubon, 208 Great South Road, Lincoln, MA 01773.
