OBITUARY: Robert A. Koralishn, 90

METHUEN, MA — Robert A. Koralishn, 90, of Methuen, MA, passed away January 3, 2024, after a brief illness. Born in Lawrence, MA, he was the son of the late John and Katherine (Petrow) Koralishn.

Raised in Lawrence, MA, Robert was a graduate of Lawrence High School. He enjoyed ice fishing, golfing, beekeeping, and was a member of the Essex County Beekeepers Association and Methuen Rod & Gun Club. He was employed as a design draftsman and worked 43 years for Textron Corporation in Wilmington, MA, until his retirement.

Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brother, John “Jack” Koralishn and his sister, Maryann Towers.

Robert is survived by his wife of 65 years, Freda (Taormina) Koralishn; children, Marie Bert and her husband Gary of Windham, NH, Paula Spanos and her husband George of Methuen, Ann Sullivan and her husband Chester of Methuen, and Gerald “Jerry” Koralishn and his wife Carolyn of Methuen; grandchildren, Jillian Barton and her husband Matthew of Derry, NH, Brendan Sullivan of Methuen, Meghan Josselyn and her husband Cole of Tewksbury, MA, Julia Koralishn and her fiancé Joseph Gosselin of Haverhill, MA, Andrea Koralishn of Methuen, and Michael Koralishn of Methuen. He also leaves his great-grandchild, Hannah Barton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s name to Essex County Beekeepers Association Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 10, Topsfield, MA 01983.

Relatives and friends were invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 3:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Rte. 113, Methuen. His funeral mass was on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Entombment was in St. Mary–Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Lawrence.
