NOW HIRING: Wilmington Seeks New Town Manager

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington, Massachusetts (22,325 pop.), is seeking a high-energy, assertive leader who works collaboratively, values employees, and knows how to delegate, to serve as its Town Manager. The next Town Manager must be a skilled communicator, support a transparent local government, and actively engage with the community. Wilmington is a family-friendly, well-run, tight-knit community located 15 miles north of Boston. It has two MBTA train stations, four exits off I-93, and proximity to I-95, I-495, and Route 3. Wilmington has an AA+ rating and FY24 budget of $129.93 million. Wilmington has a Select Board-Town Manager form of government with open Town Meeting. Preferred candidates will have a master’s degree, preferably in public administration or a related field and experience as a Town Manager/Administrator or Assistant Town Manager/Administrator. Preferred candidates must be thoughtful listeners; energetic, forward-thinking strategic planners; collaborative team leaders; and have a background in economic development strategies and planning. Candidates should be adept at managing personnel, politically savvy, and be able to juggle competing needs and interests.

Annual Salary: $220,000+/- DOQ. EOE
