School Committee To Discuss All-Day Pre-School, Wildwood Project, School Bus Policies & More At January 17 Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee is holding a meeting this Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 7pm in the High School’s Large Instruction Room.

The meeting will be streamed live on WCTV.org and on WCTV.

There are several noteworthy items on the meeting agenda, including:

• Superintendent Glenn Brand will provide an update on at the MSBA Wildwood Project.
• Superintendent Brand will provide an update on a new Social Emotional Learning (SEL) staff position.
• The School Committee will hear a presentation about all-day pre-school.
• The School Committee will consider changes to several policies, including Drug & Alcohol Testing for School Bus Drivers; Student Conduct on School Buses; Student Transportation In Private Vehicles; Meal Charge; and Equal Employment Opportunity.
• The School Committee will consider adopting recommendations from the Literary Committee.
• The School Committee will hear its monthly report from its Middle School representatives.

The School Committee will also hear any public comments, correspondence, and subcommittee reports.
