Have A Question Or Concern About Disability Laws & Regulations? Contact The Wilmington Commission On Disabilities

Below is an announcement from the latest Town Topics newsletter:

The Commission on Disabilities carries out programs of the Massachusetts Office on Disability to bring about full and equal participation in all activities for people with disabilities. Not only does the Commission assist Town officials in making sure that buildings, parking lots, sidewalks and other areas comply with federal and state disability laws, but they also provide information, referral, advocacy and technical assistance to individuals, businesses and organizations in Town in all matters relating to disabilities.

The Commission can serve as a resource to residents and their families with questions on issues of accessibility, to builders as they navigate the obligations of complying with disability laws, and to review projects that come before different boards within town.

If you have any questions or concerns about compliance with disability laws and regulations, please send us an email at wcod@wilmingtonma.gov, or call us at 978 658-3311.
