BOSTON, MA — On Thursday, January 4, 2024, Wilmington’s current State Senator, Barry Finegold, wished Wilmington’s former State Senator, Bruce Tarr, a happy 60th birthday.
Finegold used a good-humored chart — the visual aide of choice that Tarr often features on the Senate floor — to share the message.
“Senator Finegold has great respect for Senator Tarr and looks forward to another year of working together, whether it be in the chamber on bipartisan legislation or in their adjacent districts,” Finegold’s office noted.
Wilmington previously fell within Tarr’s First Essex & Middlesex District. After the state’s 2021 redistricting process, Wilmington is now included in Finegold’s Second Essex & Middlesex District, which also consists of Amesbury, Andover, Haverhill, Merrimac, North Andover and Tewksbury.
