WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for December 18, 2023

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, December 18, 2023:
  • A tree limb and wires were down on an occupied school bus in the Grove Avenue and Winchell Road area. Police responded. RMLD was notified. Service wire was cut and bus was sent on its way. (7:08am)
  • Street signs for Lowell Street and Molloy Road were knocked down. Police notified DPW. (7:10am)
  • A resident reported vehicles were passing a school bus on a daily basis while his daughter is being picked up. Police contacted transportation. Front lights of involved bus and very dim and may be difficult for oncoming cars to see. (7:48am)
  • A resident reported Maple Road was completely flooded. DPW notified. (10:44am)
  • A downed wire caused a brush fire on Ballardvale Street. in the area of powerlines. RMLD notified. Road closed. Fire Department put out fire. (1:50pm)
  • Dozens of other wind and rain-related damage was called in throughout the day, including flooding on Lowell Street.
