Town Encourages Residents To Report Flooding From The December 18 Storm

Below is an announcement shared by the Town of Wilmington:

WILMINGTON, MA — For residents and businesses in Greater Boston to be prepared and resourced to withstand and prepare for damage from stormwater flooding, we need better data about where exactly communities experience the worst impacts.

The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) hopes to build a comprehensive understanding of where Greater Boston municipalities, residents, and businesses experienced flooding this week. We are looking to municipal officials, community organizations, residents, and businesses in the region to complete this survey and/or share it throughout their communities.

Data will be used to help understand where flooding occurs during major storms, compared to where we expect flooding to occur. Personal information will not be made available to the public.

If you wish to report multiple locations of flooding, please submit ONE entry PER flood location. For example, if flooding occurred both in your basement and on your street, please submit 2 separate entries.
