WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Department of Veterans Services invites residents to attend the dedication of the new Hidden Wounds Memorial Monument this Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11am at Memorial Park at the corner of Silver Lake and Main Street.
The monument was created as part of an Eagle Scout Project for Wilmington High School senior Evan Woltag, a member of Boy Scout Troop 56.
“Approximately 22 Veterans a day in the United States take their own lives due to PTSD,” Woltag recently told the Wilmington Select Board. “My goal is to bring awareness to these Veterans and to honor their memory.”
