Wilmington Dog Agility Team Wins Top Honors

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington resident Andy Winther has placed with top honors at recent Dog agility competitions.

At the UKI North American Championship in Jacksonville Florida, Winther placed 2nd place in the US with his border collie Zoom-Zoom in the Masters Jumpers Division.

At the Northeast Thanksgiving Cluster in Springfield, Winther placed 1st place with his border collie Zoom-Zoom and 2nd place with his border collie Extra.

Winther is off to the AKC 2024 European Open Team Tryouts in Latrobe, Pennsylvania..

Dog agility is a rapidly growing international dog sport in which a skilled handler directs a highly trained dog through a complex obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. Through a combination of body signals, vocal queues, coordination and exceptional training, do teams advance to high levels of competition.
