Property Taxes, Formation Of Building Repurposing Committee, Heroes Christmas Tree, & More On Agenda For Nov. 27 Select Board Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Select Board meets this Monday, November 27, 2023 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:

  • The Select Board, following a presentation from Town Assessor Karen Rassais, will hold a Public Hearing regarding Property Tax Policy Classification.
  • The Select Board will consider establishing a Town Building Repurposing Committee to evaluate possible reuse or disposition of vacated buildings.
  • Resident Anne Murray will discuss plans to place a Heroes Christmas Tree in Town Hall this December.
  • Resident Karen West will discuss the “Toys for Tots” program.
  • The Select Board will consider amending its flag policy to allow the flying of the Purple Heart Flag on town-owned flag poles and the Memorial Library Flag at the library.
  • The Select Board will consider signing a community letter of support for a Veterans” Heritage Grant.
  • The Select Board will consider the request of RMLD to locate one pole on Westdale Avenue.
  • The Select Board will consider the request of WHS Field Hockey to conduct a Car Wash fundraiser at the Public Buildings Department on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 9am to 1pm.
