OBITUARY: Silas D. Williams, 36

WILMINGTON, MA — Silas D. Williams, age 36, of Wilmington, formerly of Lexington, passed away on November 8, 2023.

He was born on August 20, 1987, at Scott AFB in Belleville, IL. Silas will be missed by his mother Patricia Taylor, father Wesley Williams, his brother Terrell Taylor, and his sister Angelina Taylor-Brooks. He was also the dear brother and best friend of the late Wesley Williams, Jr.

Today, we gather not only to mourn but to celebrate the life of a man who touched our lives in countless ways. At just 36 years old, Silas Williams lived a life full of love, laughter, and genuine kindness, leaving an indelible mark on each of us.

As a son, Silas was a source of endless joy and happiness to his parents. His joy, care, and deep love for them was evident when he mentioned their names. In his eyes, they were not just parents but the guiding stars of his life.

To his siblings, Silas was more than just a brother; he was a lifelong companion, a confidant, and often, the source of boundless fun. His laughter was contagious, his support unwavering, and his presence a constant reassurance.

To his cousins, Silas was the fun-loving, adventurous soul who would always be up for an impromptu gathering, a heartfelt conversation, or a helping hand. His familial bond was strong, he loved his family.

As a friend, Silas was a treasure. His loyalty, compassion, and wicked sense of humor made every moment spent with him memorable. He was the one you could call at any hour, the one who would listen without judgment, and the one who would stand by you through thick and thin.

In every role he played, Silas exemplified love, kindness, and integrity. His untimely departure leaves a void in our hearts, but his spirit, his love, and the beautiful memories he created will continue to live on in each of us.

As we say our goodbyes, let’s remember Silas for the amazing soul he was. Let’s cherish the moments, the laughter, and the love he shared with us. And let’s carry forward his legacy by living our lives with the same generosity, warmth, and love that he showed every day.

Thank you, Silas, for everything. You may have left this world, now you’re with Wes, Nana, Papa, Uncle JR, but your spirit will forever be a guiding light in our lives.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Monday, November 27th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
