- Wilmington Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136, sponsored by the American Legion, are holding their 5th Annual Signing of Christmas and Holiday Cards for Local Veterans, from 10am to 2pm, at the Friendship Masonic Hall (32 Church Street). The scouts are also collecting new clothing, socks, winter hats and toiletries to donate to veterans, as well as unwrapped children’s toys for the Toys for Tots program. Learn more HERE.
- The Annual Castleberry Faire Holiday Craft Festival will take place on Friday, November 24, 2023 (9am-5pm); Saturday, November 25, 2023 (10am-5pm), and Sunday, November 26, 2023 (10am-4pm) at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road). Learn more HERE.
- The Massachusetts State Police will be holding a Sobriety Checkpoint in Middlesex County on Saturday, November 25, 2023 into Sunday, November 26, 2023.
- DEADLINE SOON: The Wilmington Educational Foundation is once again hosting a Cards for a Cause fundraiser! Each collection comes in a decorative organizer box with 30 cards (or 50 in the holiday collection!) for only $32. You receive beautiful cards at an amazing price without having to go to the store AND all proceeds support WEF. Orders must be placed by Monday, November 27, 2023 and will arrive in early December. - TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected. WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
