5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Sunday, November 19, 2023: 1st Annual Wilmington Turkey Toss

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Sunday, November 19, 2023:

• Wilmington Travel Basketball is holding the first annual Wilmington Turkey Toss from 1pm to 3pm at the Shawsheen Elementary Field. Pairs will throw a turkey from one partner to another. The furthest toss and catch wins a gift card and turkey. Admission is $25 per pair. Proceeds will benefit the basketball program. Register HERE.
• The Aleppo Shriners will be holding its annual HONS Holiday Fair, including their Feztival of Trees, from 10am to 4pm, at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road). Learn more HERE.
• DEADLINE: We’re One Wilmington is accepting applications for Holiday Assistance until Sunday, November 19, 2023. • The Wilmington Educational Foundation (WEF) is once again hosting a Cards for a Cause fundraiser! Each collection comes in a decorative organizer box with 30 cards (or 50 in the holiday collection!) for only $32. You receive beautiful cards at an amazing price without having to go to the store AND all proceeds support WEF. Orders must be placed by Monday, November 27, 2023 and will arrive in early December. • TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
