WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for November 7, 2023: Shoplifter Arrested; Dog Attack

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, November 7, 2023:
  • Two callers reported a loud vehicle revving the engine and/or doing donuts in Shriners parking lot. Police responded and located 3 vehicles in parking lot. Police advised them. All drivers denied involvement. (5:02am)
  • A resident reported that handicapped bus that picks up on Cedar Street is not flashing safety lights when picking up passengers. Police passed message along. (10:32am)
  • A Marie Drive caller reported a male party was banging on doors and yelling and screaming. Police responded. Man was passing out religious literature. He was advised and sent on his way. (12:02pm)
  • Police conducted an ALICE Drill at Wilmington Middle School (12:53pm)
  • A car struck a child near Dunkin’ on Middlesex Avenue. No injuries. Police brought child’s grandmother to scene. Police brought bikes back to child’s residence. (2:25pm)
  • Police arrested Jannirys Marie Silverio (26, Haverhill) was arrested for Shoplifting $250+ By Asportation. Silverio was allegedly shoplifting from Target. (4:17pm)
  • A caller reported her neighbor’s dog attacked her and her dog around 1pm today while on a walk. She is calling from animal hospital where her dog (a mini bernedoodle) is having surgery and may not make it. (7:30pm)
