Cookin’ the Books

If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this group is for you. Pick up a copy of the cookbook (or find a recipe from the book online), register on the library events calendar and record your recipe. Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes! November’s featured cookbook is Dinner in One by Melissa Clark.

Wilmington Community Playgroup

The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Join us for our community playgroup where we will work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Teen Citizen Science

Get volunteer hours by working on citizen science projects on Zooniverse. Transcribe historical documents, classify images, digitize notes from the field and more! No specialized research or science skills are required to attend and get hours. Grades 6-12
Music with Dara

With keyboard, felt board, finger puppets, and engaging visual props, Dara weaves songs (old and new favorites), fingerplays, rhythmic activities/simple instrument playing, and creative movement for a fun-filled musical 30-45 minute program. Lots of clapping, marching, singing, creative expression and FUN! Ages 2-5
Author Visit with Traci Sorrell

In celebration of National Native American Heritage Month, enrolled Cherokee member, Traci Sorrell, will read her book, Contenders, about the first two Native Americans to appear in the World Series. Learn more about Traci and her book, Contenders, on her website here! Ages 6+
Manga Tryouts

Have a say in manga purchased for the teen collection with this new club! During each meeting, we’ll sample 1st volumes of different manga, and vote on whether it should be added to WML’s collection. Grades 6-12
Deep Play for Kids Event
Friday, November 17, 10am
Explore playful movement using stories, yoga, breath, mindfulness, music, and songs, fully experienced through the body! This modality helps children and adults release energy through play and aids in self-regulation. A fun way for families to connect with themselves and each other! Recommended for ages 3-5
D&D
Saturday, November 18, 3pm
Interested in finding out more about this fantasy tabletop role-playing game, or looking for a group to play with? This month’s session will be IN PERSON at the library. You may also participate on Discord, a private server. We use D&DBeyond to track and create our characters. Grades 6-12

Book Store Next Door
The Book Store Next Door is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2. The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.
Museum Passes
The library has discounted passes to your favorite Massachusetts museums, attractions, and state parks. Find the full list on our website!
WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.
WML Virtual Programming
The library continues to offer a variety of virtual events. Please note that registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Go to wilmlibrary.org to register or call 978-658-2967.
