WILMINGTON, MA — Mary Leary of Wilmington is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Diamonds” $10 instant ticket game.
Leary said that she scratched her winning ticket while her husband was getting his hair cut.
Leary opted to receive her prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She said she plans to use some of her winnings to go on a vacation.
Her winning ticket was purchased at Sunrise Market (327 Main Street) in Wilmington. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
