WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for October 30, 2023: Several Bad Crashes; Target Catches 2 Alleged Shoplifters

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, October 30, 2023:
  • Police responded to a Jeep Grand Cherokee into the woodline, prior to Exit 31 on 93 South. No driver or occupant located. Airwing and K9 called in. Lawrence Police attempted to reach vehicle’s owner, but were unsuccessful. Witness reported to State Police that two individuals from vehicle were picked up by another vehicle on highway. (1:52am)
  • Police responded to multiple accidents on 93 North, prior to Exit 33. State Police and Fire Department responded. (6:21am, 6:49am, 6:52am)
  • Police responded to a 2-vehicle crash involving a PODS truck on Burlington Avenue. A POD came loose and a fork truck raised POD back onto truck. PODS driver was issued a citation for unsecured load. (7:26am)
  • A vehicle crashed into a culvert near Winchester Family Medical Center on Salem Street. Road was shut down while tow truck extricated vehicle. (7:46am)
  • Police notified MassDOT that crosswalks at Main Street and Grove Avenue, and Main Street and Richmond Street, need to be repainted. (10:04am)
  • Andrea Lee (57, Lexington) was arrested for Shoplifting By Asportation. Target detained a shoplifter and contacted Wilmington Police. (1:10pm)
  • Flor Angel Hernandez-Perez (26, Lawrence) was served a summons for Larceny Under $1200. Target detained a shoplifter, who was issued a no trespass order. (4:36pm)
