DRACUT, MA — Nancy M. Barton, 62, of Dracut, MA, passed away on October 18, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Barton, Jr., with whom she shared forty wonderful years of marriage.
The daughter of the late Joseph and Shirley (Clegg) Lombari, Nancy was born in Methuen, MA, and raised and educated in Dracut, MA. She graduated from Greater Lowell Technical High School and later in life completed her Associates Degree at Northern Essex Community College. She was a hardworking woman with long-time employment at both Willow’s Associates (North Andover, MA) as an office manager and Rheumatology and Internal Medicine Associates (Wilmington, MA) as a medical biller.
Nancy was an extraordinary cook! She will always be remembered for her baked goods (chocolate chip cookies, apple cake, and banana bread to name a few) and various Lebanese and Italian dishes (sauce and meatballs were her claim to fame). Her house always had the warm welcome of something delicious cooking on the stove or in the oven.
Nancy enjoyed the beach, reading, and was gifted with creativity. She made homemade blankets, curtains, shirts, and bags for everybody. Nancy also made centerpieces and floral arrangements for many different occasions. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Natalie reading, playing, and watching her grow.
Nancy is pre-deceased by her siblings, Joseph Lombari and Michael Lombari.
In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her children, Gina McAndrew and her husband Jeffery McAndrew of Derry, NH, and Robert Joseph “RJ” Barton of Dracut, MA; brother, Steven Lombari of Skowhegan, ME; granddaughter, Natalie McAndrew; and cousins, Tina Arsenault and Scott Irving.
Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A funeral service was celebrated on Thursday, October 26, 2023 in the funeral home chapel.
