OBITUARY: Darleen C. Jordan, 74

BILLERICA, MA — Darleen C. Jordan, age 74, died unexpectedly Friday, October 20 at the Boston Medical Center.

She was born in Boston, August 5, 1949, a daughter of the late Charles and Faye (Rougeau) Jordan and grew up in Billerica before moving to Townsend then Chelmsford and ultimately Devens four years ago.

Darleen began her career in logistics and put that on hold to focus on raising her children. She was a dedicated stay at home Mom for many years before entering back into the workforce. She worked for many years at Fulfillment America in Wilmington.

Darleen was a lover of all animals and enjoyed spending her time feeding the ducks with her grandchildren, adopting and caring for kittens from local shelters. She loved walking with her family and neighbors and enjoyed spending time outdoors.

She is survived and missed by her daughters, Jodi Jordan of Merrimack, NH and Jaime Hayward of Goffstown, NH; her son, Michael Jordan of Brighton; her sister, Lorraine Sullivan of Chelmsford and her four grandchildren. She will be remembered by family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors for her great strength, her mighty heart and a joyful sense of humor.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 24 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 10:30-12 noon, a graveside service will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Darleen’s name to the MSPCA, http://www.mspca.org
