Below is a press release from the Wilmington Educational Foundation:
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Educational Foundation is thrilled to announce the 2023 Joanne Benton WEF Walk. Students are encouraged to ask family and friends to sponsor them in this walk. Kids are invited to wear costumes, favorite sports team shirts, or Wildcat gear. Parents are welcome to watch and take pictures.
Due to the abundance of schools at our Carter Lane campus, this year’s WEF Walk will be conducted over multiple days at the end of October. To find out when your child’s school will be hosting, please visit our website at http://wilmingtonedfoundation.org.
This fitness event has become WEF’s largest fundraising event with money raised supporting the annual STEM Fair and Art Fair as well as funding grants in the areas of technology, curriculum, educator exploration and miscellaneous. Since its inception, the WEF Walk has raised over $100,000 in support of our school district.
