5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Monday, October 2, 2023: Candlelight Vigil On Town Common For Substance Abuse Awareness

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Monday, October 2, 2023:

  • Wilmington residents are invited to attend the 8th Annual Wilmington Substance Abuse Coalition’s Candlelight Vigil, from 6:30pm to 8pm, on the Town Common. The vigil gives residents of Wilmington and surrounding communities an opportunity to remember those they have lost to the disease of addiction, celebrate those who are living healthy lives once again, and to come together to reduce the stigma associated with addiction.   • The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding  the following activities: Wilmington Community Playgroup (10am); Mini Succulent-Topped Pumpkin Demonstration (3pm); Needleworkers at Night (6:30pm); and Tiny Art Reception (6:30pm).
  • The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding the following activities: Tai Chi at 9am, Special Exercise at 10:30am, Wii Bowling at 11:30am and Cribbage at 1pm. Learn more HERE.
  • The Wilmington Knights of Columbus hosts cribbage games every Monday night at 7pm in the KofC’s downstairs hall (142 Middlesex Avenue). $5 entry fee. All skill levels are welcome. Open to the general public (21 and up).
  • CANS WANTED: Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs. Learn more HERE.
