TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Wilmington DPW To Crack Seal 16 Streets This Fall

Below is an announcement from the Wilmington DPW:

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Department of Public Works will be crack sealing various town owned roadways within selected neighborhoods during the month of September and October.  Specific roadways and dates may vary depending on available funding, weather, and scheduling delays with the Town’s crack sealing contractor, Superior Sealcoat, Inc.

Roadway crack sealing is a preventative maintenance process which helps prolong the life of the pavement by mending pavement cracks, thus reducing the amount of water and debris which can infiltrate the cracks and cause structural damage.

During crack sealing operations, area residents will have access to and from their properties at all times, although there may be short delays.

Please obey the directives of police details, detour signs, and warning signs during all construction operations.

If you have any questions, or require additional information, please contact the Department of Public Works at 978-658-4481.

Planned roads to receive crack sealing (as time permits) include:

  • Cushing Drive (finish)
  • North Washington Avenue
  • Sherburn Place
  • Clorinda Road
  • Freeport Drive
  • Chestnut Street (finish)
  • Lucays Circle
  • Concord Street
  • Heather Drive
  • Gowing Road
