Below is a press release from the Tewksbury Public Library:

TEWKSBURY, MA — Enjoy a concert from one of New England’s top Grateful Dead tribute bands, Uncle John’s Banjo, this Monday, August 28, 2023, from 6pm to 7:30pm, on the back lawn of the Tewksbury Public Library.

Uncle John’s Banjo is a four-piece group from Boston that puts a bluegrass/country spin on the music of the Grateful Dead. Band members include Paul Chase (upright bass), Conor Smith (fiddle/vocals), Ethan Robbins (guitar/vocals) and Rob Megna (drum).

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets or chairs. Overflow parking is available in the field across from the library’s parking lot.

No registration required. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be rescheduled and publicized widely, including on the library’s website.

Uncomfortable in large crowds? Out of town? Tewksbury Telemedia will live-stream each concert on the Town’s YouTube page and its local access television stations.

Co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the Tewksbury Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Make sure to stop by the Friends of the Library’s raffle table before each concert.
