ROCHESTER, NH — Dennis A. Canelas, 91, formerly Club House Way, died Thursday August 24, 2023, at the Dover Rehab and Living Center in Dover NH.
Born February 14, 1932, in Wilmington, MA to Ventura and Maria (Silva) Canelas.
Dennis has lived in Rochester most of his life. He owned and operated Vic Canelas Trucking Co Inc. His real love was helping people being a caring compassionate man he had a love of people. This showed in the volunteer work he did at his church, Meals on Wheels, and Cornerstone VNA and Hospice. He served on the board of directors for Good Ole Sports and was recognized by Maggie Hassan for his volunteer work at Cornerstone. He also enjoyed sports and had a love of dogs.
Members of his family include his daughters; Sharon Canelas of Sanbornville and Linda Pilioglos and her husband Steve of Saco Me, his sons; Robert Canelas and his wife Susan of Dracut Ma, William Canelas of Sanbornville. Stepchildren, Kathy Richard and Robin LaRoche, his brothers Walter, Thomas, Frank and Manny Canelas, his sisters, Noreen Rowe and Alice Motchman, his grandchildren; Michelle, Ana, Jessie, and Patrick. 11 great-grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild. He is predeceased by a sister, Mae Correa
Visitation will be held Wednesday August 30 from 11am to 1pm with funeral services to be held at 1pm in the Emmanuel Advent Christian Church on Eastern Ave in Rochester.
There will be no burial.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home Inc, Rochester NH.
