Bookends Book Group
Monday, August 28, 10am
This book group discusses contemporary books, both fiction and non-fiction, led by Library Associate Rebecca Lowe. Copies of the book are available at the library. The featured book for August is Master Thieves: The Boston Gangsters Who Pulled Off the World’s Greatest Art Heist by Stephen Kurkjian.
VIRTUAL An Evening with Bestselling Authors Lisa Jackson & Nancy Bush
Monday, August 28, 7pm
Bestselling authors (and sisters!) Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush will discuss their latest books in this ZOOM webinar. Jackson will discuss The Last Sinner, a gripping novel of suspense featuring two veteran homicide detectives matching wits with a twisted serial killer lurking in the shadows of New Orleans. Bush will discuss The Camp, a chilling novel of suspense where a diabolical modern twist on Friday the 13th meets Yellowjackets at a summer sleepaway camp isolated in the woods of Oregon.

Puzzle Race!

Assemble your team of four for a chance at puzzle victory! The first team to complete a 500 piece puzzle will take home all the glory (and a prize). Please register all members of your group (up to four people) all together. Whoever registers the group is considered the “Registrant” and we ask that you add all other team members as attendees.
Needleworkers

This is a social group for those who do any kind of needle craft. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy a little conversation and camaraderie. Drop in.

VIRTUAL Author Talk: Don’t Want to Be Your Monster by Deke Moulton

Sponsored by the Pollard Memorial Library Foundation, join us for a Zoom discussion with debut author Deke Moulton as we celebrate the release of their first book, Don’t Want To Be Your Monster, a middle grade book about two vampire brothers that must set aside their differences to solve a series of murders. We’ll be chatting about how this book adds to vampire mythos and much more! While this is a middle grade book, all patrons interested are welcome and encouraged to attend! Come read to Stormy, our new therapy dog that is excited to meet all of our patrons! Sign up for one 15 minute session per family. Siblings and caregivers are welcome. Grades K-6

Book Store Next Door
The Book Store Next Door is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2. The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.
WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.
