- As part of a service project for her Girl Scout Gold Award, Wilmington High School senior Hannah Bryson is running a free All-Girls Wrestling Camp at Iron Clad Martial Arts (335 Main Street, Wilmington) to increase female representation in the sport of wrestling. The camp will take place from 10am to noon, Monday, August 7, 2023 through Friday, August 11, 2023. The camp is designed for girls going into Grades 3-8. Girls will learn the basics of wrestling, build confidence, win awards, meet special guest wrestlers, and have fun. Learn more HERE.
- The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a meeting of the Wilmington Community Playgroup at 10am in the Stewart Room. Learn more & register HERE.
- The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding Multiplayer Monday for Teens (Grades 6-12) from 2pm to 4pm in the Baldwin Room. Learn more HERE.
- The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding Tai Chi at 9am, Special Exercise at 10:30am, Wii Bowling at 11:30am and Cribbage at 1pm. The Center is also hosting a morning coffee from 9:30am to 10:30am to meet its new Coordinator Assistant, Debra Hurley. Learn more HERE.
- The Wilmington Knights of Columbus hosts cribbage games every Monday night at 7pm in the KofC’s downstairs hall (142 Middlesex Avenue). $5 entry fee. All skill levels are welcome. Open to the general public (21 and up).
- Town Beach at Silver Lake is open from 10am to 6pm, each day, this week. Wilmington residents with proof of residency may use the beach at no charge. Acceptable forms of ID include a current Mass. Driver’s License with a Wilmington address, an RMV-issued Mass. ID with a Wilmington addressor, or a Wilmington Public Schools ID. Non-residents can purchase day passes at the Beach for $10 per person (ages 3 and up).
