Needleworkers at Night
Monday, August 7, 6:30pm
Can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day? We’ve added evening sessions on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy a little conversation and camaraderie. Drop in.

Cookin’ the Books: Afternoon Tea Edition

Join us for a little twist on Cookin’ the Books with this potluck-style afternoon tea led by Circulation Librarian Lisa! Rather than working from one cookbook, this month we will have a variety of afternoon tea-themed cookbooks that you can choose from.
Craft and Chat
Wednesday, August 9, 7pm
Enjoy making a craft while socializing with others! This craft group meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7pm. All craft supplies provided. August’s featured craft is a Beaded Necklace.
Puzzle Race!
Thursday, August 10, 7pm
Assemble your team of four for a chance at puzzle victory! The first team to complete a 500 piece puzzle will take home all the glory (and a prize). Please register all members of your group (up to four people) all together. Whoever registers the group is considered the “Registrant” and we ask that you add all other team members as attendees.
Intro to Drones
Saturday, August 12, 10am
FAA 107 Certified Aerial Photographer Joseph Turner will talk about how drones are used to give photographers a bird’s eye view. Literally. After the talk he’ll give a demo on flying one, weather permitting.

Wilmington Community Playgroup

The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here for 5-week playgroup sessions! Join us for our community playgroup where we will work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask us about any resources we can help provide for you and your family. Registration is for this day only. For more Community Playgroups, register for each date you’re available to attend. Multiplayer Monday

The Baldwin Room will be reserved for teens in grades 6-12 to use our Nintendo Switch and projector! Try out the latest games, play with friends, and make new ones. No registration required, just come by if you’re around! Grades 6-12
Teen Taste Test Challenge: Snacks

Music with Dara
Friday, August 11, 10am
With keyboard, felt board, finger puppets, and engaging visual props, Dara weaves songs (old and new favorites), fingerplays, rhythmic activities/simple instrument playing, and creative movement for a fun-filled musical 30-45 minute program. Lots of clapping, marching, singing, creative expression and FUN! Ages 2-5

VIRTUAL D&D
Saturday, August 12, 3pm
Interested in finding out more about this fantasy tabletop role-playing game, or looking for a group to play with? Join us for a virtual campaign via Discord, a private server, every month with DM Mike! We use D&DBeyond to track and create our characters. Grades 6-8

Book Store Next Door
The Book Store Next Door is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2. The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.
WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.
WML Virtual Programming
The library continues to offer a variety of virtual events. Please note that registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link. Go to wilmlibrary.org to register or call 978-658-2967.
