WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Friday, July 28, 2023:
- Wilmington Pop Warner is holding a Parents Night Out — featuring 80’s and 90’s Music Bingo Night, from 7pm to 11pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Learn more HERE.
- The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding an outdoor storytime for ages 2 to 6 in the Peggy Kane Reading Garden. Learn more HERE.
- The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding several activities and programs — Zumba (9am); Sewing (9:30am); Wood Carving (10am); Chair Yoga (12:30pm); and Poker (1pm). The Center is also hosting its monthly Cornhole Tournament at 2pm. Learn more HERE.
- Town Beach at Silver Lake is open from 10am to 6pm. Wilmington residents with proof of residency may use the beach at no charge. Acceptable forms of ID include a current Mass. Driver’s License with a Wilmington address, an RMV issued Mass. ID with a Wilmington addressor a Wilmington Public Schools ID. Non-residents can purchase day passes at the Beach for $10 per person (ages 3 and up).
- The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected. WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
