WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for July 14, 2023: Lightening Strike Causes Tree Fire; Kid’s Bike Stolen

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, July 14, 2023:
  • John Victor Ferraz (20, Woburn) was served a summons for Miscellaneous Motor Vehicle Equipment Violation; License Plate Violation; and Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License. (9:01am)
  • Police and Fire responded to a lightening strike causing a tree fire on Shady Lane Drive. (12:44pm)
  • A caller reported a road rage incident at Burger King. Man stood in front of caller’s vehicle and won’t move. Caller eventually cancelled the request for police to respond. (12:56pm)
  • Juvenile at Shawsheen Elementary School reported bike was stolen by 2 other juveniles. Bike was eventually recorded and returned to owner. (1:10pm)
  • Police received report of juveniles riding their bikes in the middle of the road at Main Street and Lowell Street, holding up traffic. Police found the report unfounded. (7:09pm)
