Below is an announcement from Wilmington’s Department of Public Works:
NOTIFICATION OF UPCOMING ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION
WILMINGTON, MA — Please be advised the Town’s contractor, N. Granese and Sons, will be commencing installation of the permanent pavement trench along Middlesex Avenue (from Jefferson Road to Salem Street – excluding the recently paved culvert section) on Monday, July 17, 2023, weather permitting and barring unanticipated delays. This paving work is related to the recently installed sewer extension project.
Milling operations are scheduled to commence on Monday the 17th and final paving is scheduled to be completed by Thursday July 20th.
Traffic delays should be expected with some sections of work requiring a single lane closure and alternating traffic around the immediate work zone; however, area residents and local businesses will maintain access to their properties throughout construction.
We ask that everyone please obey the directives of police details and warning signage during this operation.
