OBITUARY: John W. Haas, 72

Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:

WILMINGTON, MA — John W. Haas, age 72, of Wilmington, formerly of Woburn, passed away at home on July 3, 2023.  He was surrounded by family and friends as his long battle with cancer ended.

John worked hard his entire life and stopped only due to his illness.  He worked at A1 tower, Haas and Lloyd Construction, and Mass Hoist & Crane.  When not working, John loved being outside.  He could be found camping, riding his motorcycle, teaching firearm safety, going out to eat, or trying to strike it rich panning for gold.

John had a welcoming spirit and would help anyone in need.  He never turned his back and always had his home open for family and friends.  He was full of life and was loved by all who knew him.  Any time spent with John made for a great memory and an even better story.

John is survived by his wife, Donna (Lloyd) Haas, whom he shared 53 years of marriage, his son Daniel Haas of Wilmington, granddaughters Ariana Breslin & her partner Berker Cobanli, Kayla Breslin and Addison Haas all of Wilmington.  He is pre-deceased by his son Michael Haas.  He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.

Funeral services for John will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s name to the charity of your choice.
