WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for June 30, 2023

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, June 30, 2023:
  • Jacob Eric Mellen (18, Tewksbury) was served a summons for Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, Failure To Stop/Yield, and Failure To Wear A Seat Belt. Mellen was involved in a 2-vehicle crash at Main Street and Grove Avenue. A pole was also struck. Both vehicles towed. (12:13am)
  • A caller reported some type of explosion inside a building at Charles River Labs. Fire Department responded. (10:12am)
  • Fire Department responded to possible chimney fire on Lawrence Street. (11:06am)
  • Police responded to verbal dispute between customer and staff member at Market Basket courtesy desk. (3:20pm)
  • Police responded to a crash involving four vehicles at Main Street and Butters Row. One vehicle kept driving and was found in front of Super Petroleum. One vehicle towed. (3:35pm)
  • A caller believed there is possibly jugs of chemicals on the sidewalk at Nichols Street and Shawsheen Avenue. Police responded. Bottles were full of mosquito repellent and were on private property. (7:18pm)
  • A caller reported a past hit and run in the Lightforce Orthodontics parking lot on Research Drive. (8:57pm)
  • A Nichols Street caller reported a group of juveniles just went down their driveway with flashlights. Police responded. 4 teenage girls were making a tik tok in the woods. They were advised. Police pointed out the ‘no trespass’ sign. (9:41pm)
