WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for June 17, 2023: Driver Served Summons For OUI; Vehicle Flees Traffic Stop At 60 MPH On Main St.; Prank Gone Badly

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, June 17, 2023:
  • Car owner was issued a citation for open container of alcohol, failure to inspect, and no front plate. Owner passed a field sobriety test. Passenger was issued a citation for open container of alcohol. Open containers were poured out. (12:34am)
  • CareOne receptionist is reporting someone is banging on the door, claiming his truck was stolen from the parking lot 1-2 hours ago. Police responded. Truck was located on the corner of Woburn Street and Brentwood Road. Man believed his friends took his spare key and moved the vehicle as a joke. (1:27am)
  • A vehicle took off from a traffic stop (suspended license) on Main Street, heading towards Woburn. Vehicle was speeding in excess of 60 MPH, passing vehicles, from Lowell Street to Woburn Street. Pursuit was terminated. BOLO was put out. State Police, Woburn Police and Lowell Police were notified. (7:06am)
  • A car struck a pole on Glen Road. RMLD and Verizon notified. Vehicle towed. 2 children were in the vehicle. No injuries noted. (2:24pm)
  • Margaret M. MacLellan (49, Lowell) was served a summons for OUI Liquor (2nd Offense), Possession of Open Container of Alcohol in Motor Vehicle, and Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle. MacLellan struck a pole on Myway Circle. Driver was initially unconscious. (8:45pm)
