WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Select Board meets this Monday, June 12, 2023 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.
There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:
- a common victualer license for the new owner of Greg’s Pizza at 101 Main Street
- a discussion with Wilmington Police Chief Joe Desmond and Sgt. Michael Wandell on the department’s upcoming National Night Out event on August 1, 2023 at Rotary Park
- a discussion and request to redirect ARPA funds to sewer infrastructure and culvert project on Middlesex Avenue with DPW Director Jamie Magaldi and Town Engineer Paul Alunni
- a presentation from Dore & Whittier and SMMA on additional configuration options to consider for Wildwood School MSBA project. The board will vote on the matter.
- a written update from Town Manager Hull on potential future fining Verizon for failure to obtain prior approval on locations
- a written notice from Town Manager Hull that unaccepted ways will be discussed at the June 26 meeting
- written communications from MassDOT regarding operational analysis on traffic signal at Wilmington Crossing, plus Route 38 cross hatching at Clark St. intersection
- a written update from Select Board Chair Gary DePalma on the Town Manager’s performance evaluation process
- a written notice from Town Manager Hull on trainings offered by Town Counsel KP Law
- announcement of reappointments of John Doherty, Theresa Manganelli and Brad Jackson to the Finance Committee
- vote to appoint special counsel for Olin Superfund Site, New England Transrail, and Maple Meadow Landfill
- vote to sign contracts for Town Counsel and Special Counsel for FY24
- vote to authorize submission of town-wide lead service line inventory grant
- vote to accept grants receiving during FY23
- vote to approve Tony Ice Cream’s hawk and peddle license
- vote to approve a request for a Boy Scout Car Wash fundraiser on July 16, 2023, from 9:30am to 1pm, in the 4th of July Building parking lot
- vote to approve a request for a Hockey Boosters Car Wash fundraiser on September 3, 2023, from 9am to noon, in the 4th of July Building parking lot
- vote to allow the Sole Sisters Running Club to use the Town Common on June 17, July 15, and August 19, from 7am to 9am
- vote to approve a request to use Rotary Park on June 16, 2023, from 5pm to 6pm, for a Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony
