WILMINGTON, MA — Last month, resident Patrick Giroux was honored by the Wilmington Good Guy Award Committee for his charitable activities in town and willingness to help community members.

Giroux is believed to be the youngest inductee in the 56-year history Wilmington Good Guy Award. Despite his young age, Giroux has already left an indelible mark on the Town of Wilmington through his many past and present volunteer roles, including:

  • Advisor for the Wilmington High School’s Rotary Interact Club
  • Communications Chair of the Wildcat Athletic Alumni Association & Friends
  • Committee member of the Wilmington Relay for Life
  • Committee member of the Wilmington Economic Development Committee

Giroux was inducted in a reception on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall. Speakers included members of Pat’s family, Mike Champoux, Greg Bendel, Jack Cushing, and Greg Sadowski, among many others. Steve Bjork emceed the event.

“It’s truly an honor to have grown up in a town that has some many positive role models,” Giroux told the audience. “It’s an honor to have the ability to give back and do what we need to do to make the world a better place.”
