WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for June 7, 2023: Baby Deer Struck By Train; Angry Customer Refuses To Leave Drive-Thru

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Wednesday, June 7, 2023:
  • Employee of Meineke Muffler requested assistance from Animal Control Officer after a baby deer was struck by a train. Police responded and located one deceased deer and was injured fawn. Fawn was brought to Tufts Veterinary Hospital. (9:28am)
  • A caller reported a tractor trailer took out approximately 20 feet of guardrail on Ballardvale Street, near Target. Guardrail belonged to Target, not town or state. Police assisted with paperwork exchange. (1:59pm)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred near Speedway on Main Street. Both vehicles towed. (5:31pm)
  • A Faulkner Avenue resident reported contractor fraud. (5:36pm)
  • A Burger King employee reported a female customer was refusing to leave the drive-thru over a refund dispute. Police responded and restored the peace. (6:50pm)
  • A caller reported 4 juveniles were throwing rocks at vehicles at Tremezzo on Lowell Street. Police responded. No damage to vehicles. Juveniles said they were playing basketball with rocks nearby. They stated they were also chasing a cat. Police spoke with and advised their parents. (7:14pm)
  • A car and motorcycle were involved in a crash at Aldrich Road and Forest Street. No injuries noted. (9:03pm)
