WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for June 2, 2023

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, June 2, 2023:
  • Police received report of a large snapping turtle attempting to cross the street near the Friendship Lodge on Church Street, causing a traffic issue. A passerby assisted the turtle safely across the road. (7:02am)
  • A Dollar Tree customer reported a group of youths were in the store acting unruly, throwing items and swearing. Juveniles were gone by the time police arrived. Police spoke with Dollar Tree employees, who weren’t aware of any issues. (12:00pm)
  • A 1-vehicle crash occurred on Analog Way near Analog Devices. Vehicle towed. Fire Department transported owner. (4:09pm)
  • A Salem Street caller reported past property damage to a retaining wall from an Amazon delivery driver. Caller had video of incident. (4:11pm)
  • Police received complaints of water in roadway in front of 99 Restaurant on Lowell Street. Caller reported manhole cover came loss. Vehicle popped tire on it. Police notified Water Department, which brought signage. (7:35pm)
