Library Redesign Project Update
The first floor of the library will be closed during the week of June 12, June 19 and June 26 while the redesign project is being implemented. Books and public computers on the first floor will not be accessible during this time. The second floor will remain open and the following services will be available at this location.

Adult Programs
Streaming Services and Other Alternatives to Cable
Monday, June 12, 7pm
Do you want to know what’s the deal with all these streaming services you keep hearing about? Come join Technology Librarian Brad McKenna as he presents alternatives to cable such as Netflix and the library. While not all free, the alternatives will save you quite a bit of money every month.

Cookin’ the Books

If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this group is for you. Pick up a copy of the cookbook (or find a recipe from the book online), register on the library events calendar and record your recipe. Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes! June’s featured cookbook is Turkey and the Wolf by Mason Hereford.
Craft and Chat

Enjoy making a craft while socializing with others! This craft group meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. All craft supplies provided. June’s featured craft is Summer Banners.
Novel Ideas Book Group

Adult Summer Reading Book Brunch

Help kickoff the adult summer reading program by enjoying a light breakfast with others and listening to book recommendations presented by Library Trustee and host of Book Stew Eileen MacDougall. Join the fun afterward by participating in the “Find Your Voice” summer reading program.

Multiplayer Monday

On Monday afternoons in May and June, the Baldwin Room (the small room in Youth Services with the comfy chairs) will be reserved for teens in grades 6-12 to use the Nintendo Switch with our projector! Music with Dara

With keyboard, felt board, finger puppets, and engaging visual props, Dara weaves songs (old and new favorites), fingerplays, rhythmic activities/simple instrument playing, and creative movement for a fun-filled musical 30-45 minute program. Pride Crafting

Kids’ Book Cafe

A book tasting for students in Grades 3-5. Sample a variety of books, both fiction and nonfiction, revolving around the same genre or theme. Each session will include either a themed snack or activity! June’s theme is Self-Identity and International Settings. Grades 3-5
LEGO Building

Build with LEGOs at the same time as other LEGO fans and display what you make in the library! Grades K-5
Summer Reading Kickoff with Comedy Juggler Bryson Lang

Kickoff Summer Reading with Bryson Lang at his creative, high-energy, family-friendly Comedy – Juggling act. Bryson’s show combines technical juggling skills with original comedy into a unique and unforgettable show! In case of inclement weather, this event may be held in the Stewart Room at the Wilmington Memorial Library. All registrants will be notified of the change in venue. Book Store Next Door
The Book Store Next Door is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Shop discount books! Paperbacks for $1 and hardcovers for $2. The Book Store is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Library and all proceeds help support library programs.
WML In-Person Programming
Registration is required for most in-person programs. Please check our website on the day of the program to confirm location. Masks are no longer required for vaccinated patrons while visiting the library.
WML Virtual Programming
