Below is information from the Wilmington World Languages Department:
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington World Languages Department recently congratulated WHS students who earned recognition on the National Italian Exam, Le Grand Concours (National French Exam), and the National Spanish Exam.
These exams were administered nationally and internationally and recognize outstanding achievement in students’ abilities to understand and use their second language skills.
In order to receive an Achievement Award, students must place about the 60th percentile nationally. A bronze medal is awarded to those students who place above the 75th percentile. The silver medal is awarded to those students who placed above the 85th percentile. The prestigious gold medal is awarded to those students who place in the 95th percentile (the top 5% of all students who took the test!)
